I find an Architect by the name of Glenn Murcutt. It shows four of his houses, but that's really all you need to see how genius these designs are. As an environmentalist, he often designs buildings to work, with and around nature. Each of the four buildings shown are able to "breathe" by design. For example, by the design air currents are able to ride along the back walls or underneath the home to keep it cool or warm when needed. Each window is intricately placed to gain temperature or lose temperature with the sun's position, depending on the time of day. One of them even has a V style roof to collect rain to be used for drinking water, or heating. Thusly being able to work with nature, and have them come together to make something that can protect them from nature.
